Clarity: The Bridge Between Understanding and Influence

The pursuit of clarity in thought, speech and the written word never ends. This pursuit is progress, not perfection, because there is always a clearer, simpler way to express a principle to your audience.

Clarity comes through action.

When I diligently practice the principle I want to express to others, I must think about it consciously.

I must figure out why this principle works in my life before I can share it with you. Share on X

Ask yourself this question.

“What do you do for a living?”

Instead of responding about you, the way most do, consider how you serve others. Make your answer all about them.

If your answer begins with “I am…” you are pointing at yourself.

Start with, “I help…” or “I serve…” and explain how you add value to the life of your ideal reader and your ideal client.

It will probably take you a moment to make this internal shift, and more time to refine your answer so your ideal reader instantly understands how you can help them.

It took time and two different coaches for me clearly answer this question.
